Mina the Hollower: How to Reach Upper Osex and the Secret Trinket Shop

While exploring Osex, some upper areas can look unreachable at first, including a trinket shop above the main route. This access is not locked behind story progression. Once the wider world is open to you, you can reach the upper section early by looping around from the south and west.

Operation Steps

Step 1: Leave Osex City Center From the South

Start in Osex City Center and exit through the southern side. From there, go down one screen into the southern outskirts.

Once you are in the outskirts, head west. You can either dodge the enemies along the way or defeat them if they are getting in the way of your movement.

Step 2: Follow the Western Route North

After moving west for a couple of screens, the path begins to lead north. Keep following it until you reach the Western Wilds Occupied Bridge.

From here, you can see the western entrance back into Osex, but it is blocked off for now. Do not try to force that entrance yet. Instead, move left toward the lava section.

Step 3: Clear the Lava and Crystal Section

The lava area is dangerous, so take it slowly and watch the enemies while you work through it. Use burrowing to create paths that spread the lava into the crystals.

Destroying those crystals opens the way forward, letting you continue farther north through the route.

Step 4: Push Through to the Molten Foundry

After the lava section, keep pushing past the next groups of enemies. Continue along the route until you reach the entrance to the Molten Foundry.

Enter the foundry area, then look for the door on the right side.

Step 5: Exit Right and Break the Osex Blockade

Leave the Molten Foundry through the right-hand door. From this side, you can destroy the blockade that was blocking the western entrance to Osex.

Breaking it opens that entrance permanently, giving you a direct way back into the upper side of the city.

Step 6: Drop the Rope and Open the Trinket Shop Route

Once the western entrance is open, let the rope down to create easier access to the train station. From there, move a couple of screens away and clear the entrance to the trinket shop.

The shop does not have much stock at the start of the game, but more items are added over time. Opening it early makes it convenient to return later and check what has been added.

Upper Osex and the early trinket shop are reached by leaving Osex to the south, looping west through the Western Wilds Occupied Bridge, clearing the lava crystal route, passing through the Molten Foundry, and breaking the blockade from the far side. Once the rope and shop entrance are opened, the area becomes much easier to revisit.
